About the Business
Greenmount Carpets was established in 1985 by Michael Willatt. He started out from his barn buying rolls and remnants and turning them into mats to sell on the markets in Leeds. Mr Willatt relocated to Cornwall, selling room size roll ends and remnants at Pool Market.
As the business grew, Mr Willatt moved Greenmount Carpets to a small unit at the Formal Business Park in Camborne. By 2000, the business' success meant Greenmount Carpets could move to a larger unit on the estate. This unit is where we are still based today.
Mr Willatt retired in 2011 selling the business to a member of his team Jeremy Stephens and partner Michelle Rowe. Although retired he still has a keen interest in the business.
