Fantastic service, great choices of carpets and the fitters were brilliant and very professional. Also great value for money. Last a company that gives you 100 per cent service and fitting. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I would 100 per cent recommend highly - The Carpet and Bed Warehouse in Wrexham.
The sample I was shown was different to what was laid I also was given a quote and when I went in there a week later a younger fella told me the price has gone up (carpet in a shop) so added a few more pounds to the written quote I’d been given really should’ve said no at that stage.
Charlie's have carpeted most of our house and will be doing the last 2 rooms shortly. Couldn't have been more helpful in helping us choose the right carpet for each area based on usage/traffic, excellent price, fitters are lovely. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Their attitude stinks. You can tell the quality of a company by how they deal with things when something goes wrong. We went into the store two weeks before Christmas. We had just had the hall, stairs and landing decorated. To finish the job, we needed a new carpet. We went to a few shops, but given the proximity to Christmas, delivery was an issue. Carpet and Bed Warehouse said they could do it in time, and we ordered a low loop pile carpet with an "Action Back". The reason for ordering that type of carpet was for additional durability on the stairs which are subject to horizontal movement. I can't remember the brand name, but the product colour reference was "Stone". Our walls had been painted with Farrow and Ball colour "Oxford Stone". We compared the paint from the F&B colour chart with the sample in the shop, and the colours complimented each other. C&BW were unable to deliver on Friday as originally promised but did turn up on the Monday before Christmas. The fitters set to work and had completed the landing and started on the stairs when I noticed that the carpet did not have the Action Back but a felt back. The fitter phoned the shop and I spoke to the owner. I was told that they could not get the Action Back until March and offered to take it up and refund the money. We felt pressured into accepting the work as it was so close to Christmas. Like lots of people, you want the house to look nice for visitors. Grudgingly, we agreed to allow the fitters to complete the work. What should have happened is that they contact us before delivery and tell us the truth about the availability of what we ordered. We could then have made an informed choice. They must have known that they were not delivering the right product, but pressed ahead anyway and bullied us into accepting it. After the fitters had left, we noticed that the carpet has a distinctly pink look about it. It does not compliment the walls. So we now have a carpet that we didn't order and it is a different hue to the sample. I went back to the store, and the owner had an offcut which we compared to the sample. To me, it is a distinctly different colour. We could have accepted a shade lighter or darker, but not when it has this pink hue. We disagreed about this, and you could argue that it is a matter of opinion. However, I now realise that the owner has a bullying style of dealing with customer queries. He refused to let me take the offcut and sample back to our house to see how it would look in situ. The shop was closed over Christmas and New Year and I tried to go back and resolve the matter. I went in this week and, if anything, the bullying reached a new level. My point was that they turned up with a carpet that was different to what we ordered and we felt pressured into accepting it. We have not had the opportunity to check the shade. The owner did not listen to me and shouted over me whan I was explaining our concerns. He eventually tried to throw me out of the shop. If you deal with these people and something goes wrong, don't expect them to do anything about it. You can expect a stroppy attitude if you voice any concerns.
