Dudley, West MidlandsWhat a shame......feel totally let down by Wordsley Carpets.....paid upfront for the materials & had cash ready for the fitter.....a smallish cushion floor replacement for carpet/underlay/gripper in upstairs bathroom.....needed boarding.....on completion was left with large gap from the bottom of skirting board to new flooring.....but not all the way around.....what a sight!!
I rang and advised my dismay at paying over £35 an hour fitting fee to be left with such a substandard finish! They said they don't fill/seal the flooring.....what??? So moisture will be free to get down/underneath new flooring? I don't think so! That was left like this last Mon 17th Feb.....on going upstairs on Sat.....no one has used this bathroom in the meantime, I might add.....the flooring was 'bubbling' and had 'air pockets' in it!! Oh the joys!!!
I rang on Sat to advise my further dismay.....I was advised by Andrew (he said he was the Managing Director) that they are a Family firm & for me not to worry as when he comes on Mon (today 24/2/25) that he will do 'whatever it takes' to rectify this problem & make me happy......oh really??....he sent his side kick this morning who said no, they can't do anything & def won't 'seal' it.....he got the fitter to cut about 1mm off the sides......not happy at all.....he didn't like this finish in his house, I'm sure.....will never use again.....they've lost orders for bedroom carpet & hall stairs/landing.....basically they couldn't care less......not at all happy with level/competence of service.
